Watermelon Flip Top Box


Watermelon Flip Top Box-JMRush

Approximate size: W 4" X  H 5.25” X D 1.5”

The Watermelon Flip Top Box has a top that is attached to the box base on one side and a tab closure on the other side. This file is great for party favors or to use as a centerpiece for your summer parties. This design is compatible with 8x12 or 12X12 mats.

1.Cut design pieces. ( I used double sided card stock)
2. Flip Box base over ( pretty side down). Glue the watermelon shape with seed cut outs on the matching solid watermelon base- one for the top and one for the bottom half.
3. Fold score lines up on the box base pieces. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the combined watermelon pieces to their matching larger solid watermelon piece. 
4. Align the box base pieces so that the larger pieces is on the left and has the tab on the lower left and the smaller piece is on the right and has the small indented tab on the upper right. Apply glue to the backside of the long side tab on the right side smaller box base piece.
5. Align with the edge of the other box base and secure. ( You want the tab to be on the inside of your box). Apply glue to the small side tabs- one on the top and one on the bottom ( where my thumb and finger are in the picture). Secure to the rectangular tab shapes creating 90 degree angles.
6. Apply glue to the backside of the tabs closest to the outside the left box base- one on the top and one on the bottom ( where my thumb and finger are pointing). Secure to the tab directly below for the top tab and directly above for the lower tab.
7. Apply glue to the backside of the tabs closest to the center- one on the top and one on the bottom of the right side box base. Secure to the center strip.
8. Apply glue to the outer sides of the 90 degree angles on the outside of the right bottom section. Secure to the inside of the left box base sections creating a box and lining up the edges.
9. This is what it should look like:) Apply glue to the outer sides of the 90 degree angles on the outside of the right upper section. Secure to the inside of the left box base
10. Your box is now complete:) Tuck the closure tab into the slot in the bottom section to close.
11. Glue the combined watermelon pieces to the top and bottom front of your box base.
12.  Finish by adding a ribbon. Fill with goodies and enjoy:)


Carousel Lantern

Approximate size: W 4.50” X D 4.50” X H 7”



This five sided lantern file has a carousel horse design on each side and when vellum paper is used, an opaque lantern effect is created. This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.

1.Cut design pieces. ( I used double sided card stock)
2. Flip lantern pieces over ( pretty side down). Apply glue to the very edges of the rectangular vellum pieces. Align over each carousel horse window on the lantern. Secure. 
3. Fold score line up.
4. Align the lantern pieces so that the upper tabs are on the upper right side. Apply glue to the backside of the long side tabs and secure the three lantern pieces together.
5. Image of the long side tab attached to the other lantern sections. (The single lantern’s long side tab will not be glued yet)
6. Glue the backside of the flag portion of the one of the two flag pieces. Do not glue the pole/stem portions together.
7. Image of the flag glued together.
8. Glue one side of the pole/stem combined piece to the center top of the third carousel horse window. Allow to dry and make sure the other side of the pole/stem piece is free).
9. -10. Apply glue to the top right side tab of the first carousel horse top and attach to the inside of the next triangular top to the right. Repeat for the next tab.
11. Apply glue to the top of the pole/stem piece and secure to the inside of the lantern.
12. Apply glue to the top tab on the second to the last carousel horse window from the right and attach to the triangular top of the next panel to the right.
13. Apply glue to the long side tab on the last carousel window panel and attach to the carousel window panel to the left, creating a enclosed pentagon box shape.
14. Apply glue to the last two top tabs and secure to the insides of the lantern top.
15. Image of the finished inside.
16. Fold the score lines of the lantern base.
17. Apply glue to the small tabs and secure to the insides of the rectangle to the left.
18. I used a 3” W x 4” H flameless color changing candle, which is placed in the center of the lantern base. The lantern top is placed over the top. I finished with a ribbon and enamel jewels in the center of each scallop:)

Lemonade

1. Cut design pieces. ( Not all shapes are shown in this tutorial)
2. Glue the second largest pitcher shape to the largest pitcher base.
3. Glue the largest lemonade shape to the combined pitcher.
4. Glue the smallest lemonade liquid shape to the combined lemonade pitcher aligning it at the bottom.
5. Glue the second largest lemon shapes to the largest lemon bases. 
6. Glue the lemon cut out shapes to the combined lemons.
7. Glue the completed lemons to the combined Lemonade pitcher.
8. Stack the lemons for a more dimensional effect. 
9. ( The other shapes are built by glueing the layers with the largest on bottom and smallest on top)

12. Using foam adhesive squares, attach the wings together with the largest one on the bottom.
13. Glue the eye and beak on the flamingo head. Attach the combined wing section to the flamingo on the box base.
14.  Finish by adding an enamel dot for an eye and attach a ribbon. Fill with goodies and enjoy:)

This design features character arms that open to a hidden gift card pocket, is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats, and fits most gift cards.

1. Cut design pieces. (I used double sided card stock)
2. Fold the card along score lines. Glue the skunk face to the skunk head piece. Glue the tail strip to the tail base.
3. Apply glue the bottom of the side tabs on the card base. Secure by folding upward toward the card base. Glue the mouth in place. Use a foam adhesive square to attach the nose. Glue the circular cheeks in place.
4. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the combined skunk head to the front of the card base. Insert gift card.
5. Tuck the hands into the slots on the front. Glue a ribbon to the heart shape.
6. Apply glue to the bottom backside of the card and secure the tail. I used a foam adhesive square to secure the top of the tail:)

4. Glue the fox face to the font of the combined fox head and glue the inner ear shapes to the coordinating shapes.  
5.Glue the nose on the tip of the combined fox head and the circular cheek shapes to the ends of the smile.
6.Use foam adhesive squares to attach the combined fox head to the front of the card base. Insert gift card.
7. Tuck the hands into the slots on the front. Glue a ribbon to the heart shape.
8. Secure the tail to the backside of the card with glue.
9. I finished with enamel dots to accent the eyes:)

Blue Ulysses Butterfly Tea Light Lantern (Flameless)


Blue Ulysses Butterfly Tea Light Lantern (Flameless)-JMRush
Approximate Dimensions: W 4” x D 4” X H 2.5”


This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats and when vellum paper is used, an opaque lantern effect is created.

  1. Cut design pieces. (I used double sided card stock and vellum paper)
  2. Glue each outline butterfly piece to the coordinating butterfly base. ( There will be an extra outlined butterfly.) Fold the score lines in the lantern base piece.
  3. Glue the other outline butterfly to the back of the combined coordinating butterfly shape ( so there is a outlined butterfly on the front and on the back). Apply a dab of glue to the inside of the lantern base just under the slot. (This will help to secure the tab when it passes through.) Tuck the end tab into the slot creating a circular tube shape.
  4. Place the one of the narrow circular ring pieces over the tube shape you just created. Apply glue to the outside of one of the rows of tabs and secure downward to the narrow ring.
  5. Apply glue to the tops of the ring and tabs and secure the thicker circular ring to the top.
  6. Flip the lantern base so that the rings are on the bottom. Apply hot glue to inside of the lantern base so that you can secure the flameless tea light inside the tube. ( It may be easier to work form the bottom:) Place the tea light inside and secure.
  7. Fit the second narrow ring around the other side of the tube. Apply glue to the outside of the tabs and secure to the narrow ring.
  8. Fold the tabs in the center of the combined butterfly (with a hole in the center) down and the tabs in the circular piece with tabs up. Apply glue to the tops of the ring and tabs and secure the thicker circular tab ring to the top. (tabs facing upward)
  9. Apply glue to the insides of the upward tabs.
  10. Secure the tabs of the combined butterfly with a hole in the center and tabs to the tabs on the lantern base. (butterfly tabs go on the inside).
  11. Allow to dry.
  12. Curve the three layered butterfly and apply glue along the bottom vertical center line.
  13. Secure to the center of the combined butterfly lantern base and combine the antennas and tail sections. Allow to dry:)

Dinosaur Hug Gift Card Holder

Dinosaur Hug Gift Card Holder-JMRush
Approximate Card size: W 3.75” X H 5.75”


This design features character arms that open to a hidden gift card pocket, is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats, and fits most gift cards.




1.Cut design pieces. (I used double sided card stock)
2. Fold the card along score lines. 
3. Apply glue the bottom of the side tabs on the card base. Secure by folding upward toward the card base.
4.Glue the white teeth with an oval cut out to the double Dino head base. Glue the single green Dino head to the coordinating white teeth Dino head.
5. Curve and glue the base of the tongue to the center of the oval inside the lower set of teeth.
6. Fold the double Dino head at the center score lines. Glue the combined Dino head to the top of the double Dino head base.
7. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the top back section of the combined Dino head to the front of the card base. Insert gift card and tuck the hands into the slots on the front. (I popped the Dino’s head to the front of the gift card section.)
8. I finished with enamel dots to accent the eyes and curved the arms slightly:)

2. Line up the box base sections as the picture shows. Fold the tab on the right side section and apply glue to the tab’s backside.
3. Secure the tab to the left box base section. ( You want the tab to be on the inside of your box) Fold the score lines on the right side of the box base.
4. Apply glue to the small side tabs- one on the top and one on the bottom ( where my thumb and finger are in the picture)
5. Secure to the rectangular tab shapes creating 90 degree angles.
6. Fold the score lines on the left side of the box base.
7. Apply glue to the backside of the tabs closest to the center- one on the top and one on the bottom. 
8. Secure to the center strip.
9. Apply glue to the top and bottom tab that are facing you. 
10. Secure the rectangular flaps to the left
11. Apply glue to the outside edges of the 90 degree angle on the right lower section. 
12. Secure to the inside of the left lower section.
13. Repeat for the upper section.
14. This is what your box should look like.
15. I flipped the box so that the tab is on the right upper section. Tuck the tab into the slot on the lower section to close.
16. Glue the two largest pieces (solid) to the front of your box.
17. Glue the cut out swim trunk design piece to the short solid swim trunk design piece. Glue the belly button ( small circle) to the box base.
18. Glue the thin strip with cut outs to the top of the lower section. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the combined swim trunks.
19. Finish with ribbon for the tie string of the swim trunks:)

16. Curve the leaves of the grass skirt sections.
17. Glue the largest grass skirt piece to the top of the lower section- centering it and aligning it at the top. Glue the belly button (small circle) on.
18. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the coconut bra shape to the top section. Apply glue to the backside of the small grass skirt piece on the very left and very right. Place an adhesive foam square in the center. Secure to the top of the lower section.
19. I used small enamel dots for the centers of the flowers.
20. I curved the petals of the flowers.
21. Glue the flowers into place:)
