Pineapple Flip Top Box


Pineapple Flip Top Box-JMRush

W 4" X  H 5.25” X D 1.5” (H 9" including stem)


The Pineapple Flip Top Box has a top that is attached to the box base on one side and a tab closure on the other side. This file is great for party favors or to use as a centerpiece for your summer parties.  This design is compatible with 8x12 or 12X12 mats.

1.Cut design pieces. ( I used double sided card stock) ( There is a small rectangular piece that is missing from the images of the beginning of this tutorial)
2. Line up the box base sections as the picture shows. Fold the tab on the right side section and apply glue to the tabs backside.
3. Secure the tab to the left box base section. ( You want the tab to be on the inside of your box) Fold the score lines on the right side of the box base.
4. Apply glue to the small side tabs- one on the top and one on the bottom ( where my thumb and finger are in the picture)
5. Secure to the rectangular tab shapes creating 90 degree angles.
6. Fold the score lines on the left side of the box base.
7. Apply glue to the backside of the tabs closest to the center- one on the top and one on the bottom. 
8. Secure to the center strip.
9. Apply glue to the bottom of the 90 degree angle on the right bottom section. Secure the rectangular flap on the left side, lining up the edges.
10. This is what it should look like:)
11. Repeat for the upper 90 degree section on the right side.
12. This is what it should look like. Apply glue to the bottom section where the small tab intersects. Secure the tab and repeat for the other side.
13. Apply glue to the entire end and secure the side flap aligning the edges. 
14. Repeat for the other side.
15. Your box is now complete:) Tuck the closure tab into the slot in the bottom section to close.


16. Picture of the pineapple box.
17. Glue the two largest pineapple pieces (solid) to the front of your box.
18. Glue the next largest double grouping.
19. Glue the third largest double grouping got the box base. Secure the smallest pineapple design to the second largest- centering it and aligning the edges.
20. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the small combined section to the box base aligning the edges.
21. Curve your stem leaves as you like.
22. Apply glue to the backside of the bottom most leaf on the left of one of the leaf groupings.
23. Connect the leaf on the other side aligning the leaf shapes. This creates a circular funnel shape.
24. This is what it should look like:)
25. Repeat for all 3 stem leaf sections.
26. Roll the tab on the largest leaf group in toward the center ( to make it a bit smaller.) Tuck the rolled tab of the largest leaf grouping through the center of the medium sized leaf grouping.
27. Roll the tab on the medium sized leaf grouping and tuck both the large and medium tabs through the center of the smallest leaf grouping.
28. Tuck all three tabs into the slot on the top of your pineapple box.
29. Apply glue to the backsides of your tabs on the inside of the box.
30. Position your leaf groupings as you like adjusting the height of each section. Secure the tabs to the top of the box.



31. Apply glue to the back of the rectangle top piece. (This is the design piece that was not shown in the beginning of this tutorial).
32. Place the glued side of the rectangle piece down into the top inside of the box lid to cover the leaf tabs.
33. I used pieces of foam adhesive squares to join the leaf sections together and give them additional support.

Star Handle Bag

This design is compatible with 8x12 or 12X12 mats.



1.Cut design pieces.
2. Glue the large front flap to the coordinating shape on the bag base.
3. Glue the scalloped edge trim piece on top.
4. Flip the bag base over ( pretty side down and scallop shape at the top)Pre-Fold all score lines ( everything folds in toward the center)
5.Apply glue to the first set of tabs on the second from the bottom section. Secure to the third section from the top.
6. Apply glue to the tabs of the third section from the bottom and secure to the first section, creating a box.
7. Apply glue to the wings of section four.
8. Secure to the inside of the wings of section five.
9. Image of the wing sections glued together.
10. Fold the score lines on the handle. Using foam adhesive squares, attach the stars together - layering from largest to smallest on top.
11. Insert the handle into the slots on either side of the box. ( If you accidentally glue the slots in the front section, like I did;), you can use a toothpick to open them).
12.  Tuck the front closure tab into the front slot. Secure the combined star to the front using an adhesive square and attach a ribbon if you like:)

American Flag Open Top Box

This open top box file has a american flag design that wraps around the entire box. This box can be used as a gift box, a centerpiece, or as a napkin holder for your Fourth of July/ Memorial day parties ( fits napkins 6.5” in width). This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.



  1. Cut design pieces.
  2. Fold score lines on the box base. Apply glue to the backside of the side tab on the largest box base section and secure to the smaller box base section- ( make sure that the large section has a square at the top and the smaller section has a square at the bottom:)
  3. Apply glue to the right corner of the backside of the top center tab. Secure to the long rectangular tab to the right forming a 90 degree angle.
  4. Apply glue to the left corner of the backside of the bottom center tab. Secure to the long rectangular tab to the left forming a 90 degree angle.
  5. Apply glue to the outside of the 90 degree angle pieces and secure the square flap to the right.
  6. This is what it should look like:)
  7. Repeat for the other side so that your open top box shape is complete.
  8. This is what it should look like:)
  9. Apply glue to the front of the box. Apply the long rectangle stripes- alternating colors.
  10. Apply glue to the side panel. Apply the smaller rectangle stripes-alternating colors.
  11. Repeat for the other two sides. Glue the rectangular (blue) shape to the upper left corner ( on the front and on the back).
  12. I used foam adhesive squares to attach the stars together- layering from largest to the smallest on top. I staggered the stars in this photo.
  13. The stars are centered in this picture.
  14. Finish by adding a ribbon or twine:)

Orchid Tea Light Lantern (Flameless)

This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats and when vellum paper is used, an opaque lantern effect is created.


  1. Cut design pieces. (I used double sided card stock and vellum paper)
  2. Glue each outline flower piece to the coordinating flower petal base. Glue each outlined leaf to the solid leaf base. Press to secure the pieces together.
  3. Fold the tabs of the flower lantern base.
  4. Apply a dab of glue to the inside of the lantern base just under the slot. (This will help to secure the tab when it passes through.)
  5. Tuck the end tab into the slot creating a circular tube shape.
  6. Place the one of the narrow circular ring pieces over the tube shape you just created. 
  7. Apply glue to the outside of one of the rows of tabs and secure to the narrow ring.
  8. Apply glue to the tops of the ring and tabs. Secure the thicker circular ring to the top.
  9. Image of what the lantern base bottom should look like.
  10. Fit the second narrow ring around the other side of the tube. 
  11. Apply glue to the outside of the tabs and secure to the narrow ring.
  12. Place a flameless votive candle inside the tube. 
  13. Apply glue to the tops of the ring and tabs and secure the thicker circular ring to the top. 
  14. Fold the tabs in the center of the two largest combined flowers. The section with three petals tabs go up and the double petal section the tabs get folded down. 
  15. Apply glue to the outside of one set of tabs and secure to the other set.
  16. Image of the tabs glued together. 
  17. While the two large flowers dry; curve the two combined stamen pieces and the two combined leaves as you like. I flipped the stamen pieces over( pretty side down) and then rolled the petals up. This section was really curved so I wanted the outline to show from the top.
  18. Apply glue to the top ring of the lantern base.
  19. Secure the leaves on the lantern base.
  20. Apply glue to the lantern base over the top of the leaves that you just placed.
  21. Curve the flower petals of the double combined flowers on the lantern base. Center and secure the combined large flowers to the lantern base. 
  22. Apply glue to the bottom ring of the long stamen piece and attach it to the center of the flameless candle around the flame.
  23. Apply glue to the bottom ring of the double petal combined stamen. Center and attach over the other stamen piece that you just placed.:)

Rose Tea Light Lantern (Flameless)

  1. Cut design pieces. (I used double sided card stock and vellum paper) Be careful removing the pieces from the mat. On the vellum flower petals I released the petals first and then the centers and on the card stock outline petals, I removed the negative inside petal shapes and then released each petal one at a time until all of the flower shape could be lifted:)
  2. Glue each outline flower piece to the coordinating flower petal base. Glue each outlined leaf to the solid leaf base. Press to secure the pieces together.
  3. Image of the combined rose petal.
  4. Fold the tabs of the flower lantern base.
  5. Apply a dab of glue to the inside of the lantern base just under the slot. (This will help to secure the tab when it passes through.)
  6. Tuck the end tab into the slot creating a circular tube shape.
  7. Place the one of the narrow circular ring pieces over the tube shape you just created. 
  8. Apply glue to the outside of one of the rows of tabs and secure to the narrow ring.
  9. Apply glue to the tops of the ring and tabs. 
  10. Secure the thicker circular ring to the top.
  11. Fit the second narrow ring around the other side of the tube. Apply glue to the outside of the tabs and secure to the narrow ring.
  12. Place a flameless votive candle inside the tube. 
  13. Apply glue to the tops of the ring and tabs. 
  14. Secure the thicker circular ring to the top. Fold the tabs in the center of the two largest combined flowers. The larger bottom set is folded up and the other down.
  15. Apply glue to the outside of one set of tabs and secure to the other set.
  16. Image of the tabs glued together. 
  17. While the two large flowers dry; curve the three loose combined flower petals and two combined leaves as you like. I rolled the petals up on the largest flower. The two smallest flowers I flipped over ( pretty side down) and then rolled the petals up. This section was really curved so I wanted the outline to show.
  18. Apply glue to the top ring of the lantern base.
  19. Secure the leaves on the lantern base.
  20. Apply glue to the lantern base over the top of the leaves that you just placed.
  21. Center and secure the combined large flowers to the lantern base. Apply glue to the bottom ring of the smallest combined flower and attach it to the inside of the second smallest combined flower. - Centering it and alternating the petals.
  22. Apply glue to the center of the next largest combined flower. Center and attach the double small combined flowers staggering the petals.
  23. Curve the flower petals of the double combined flowers on the lantern base. Apply glue to the center ring of the double combined lantern base flowers. Center and secure the small combined flower set- staggering the petal pattern. :)

Lovebird Birdcage

This five sided birdcage file contains a hanging lovebird perch and two lovebirds with heart cutout wings. This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.

  1. Cut design pieces. ( I used double sided card stock)
  2. Line up the three birdcage panels (pretty side up). Apply glue to the long vertical side tab on the center birdcage panel and on the long vertical side tab on the single birdcage panel.
  3. Glue each long vertical side tab to the the birdcage panel to the left. Tabs go underneath and mining up the straight edge at the bottom. 
  4. Fold the score lines after the side tabs have dried.
  5. Glue the two small circular hanger to each side of the large circular hanger base that has the perch and birds on it. 
  6. Make sure the stems of these piece remain separate.
  7.  Glue the lovebirds to the coordinating shapes on each side of the combined circular hanger base.
  8. Flip the lantern base (pretty side down). Glue one of the stems of the combined circular hanger to the top of the third from the left birdcage panel. (The other stem will be glued inside the lantern later).
  9. Apply glue to the bottom of the last long side tab on the right of the birdcage panels and secure to the other birdcage panel. This creates a closed pentagon shape.
  10.  This is what it should look like.
  11. Applying glue to one top tab at a time, begin to secure the top tabs to the inside of the next angled triangle.

  14.  Glue the other circular hanger tab to the top inside of the birdcage.

  16.  Fold the score line on the birdcage base.
  17. Apply glue to the small tabs and secure to the insides of the rectangle to the left.

  19.  Place the lantern top in it’s base.
  20.  Finish with a ribbon.

1. Cut the design pieces. (This tutorial shows two different ways to use this file:)
2. Flip the pouch over ( pretty side down). Pre-Fold all score lines. Apply glue to the tabs of the pouch base on each side.
3. Secure the tabs to the lower flap of the pouch. 
4. Glue the Star rectangle to the top of the front of the pouch.    
        5. You can use a red napkin or you can attach the solid rectangle to the left   
         edge of the pouch.
        6. & 7. Glue the rectangle to the front of the pouch. Finish with ribbon or 
        twine and fill with cutlery and a napkin:)

1.   Cut the design pieces.
2.   Flip the pouch over ( pretty side down). Pre-Fold all score lines.

4.   Glue the Star rectangle to the solid rectangle.    
 5.   Glue the combined rectangle to the front of the pouch. Finish with ribbon  
       or twine and fill with cutlery and a napkin:)

Firecracker Straw Container

Approximate Container size: W 3” X H 11” D 3” (Actual container dimensions W 2.5” X H 8” D 2.5” without wick, base, and star)


This container features an attached lid and a large base for stability. This design is perfect for holding straws (8” H) for your Fourth of July or Memorial Day party and doubles as a festive centerpiece. This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.


1.Cut design pieces. (I used double sided card stock for the container base)
2. Flip the container base over (pretty side down). Apply glue just under the slots on the right hand side.
3. Apply glue along the left vertical edge.
4. Tuck the tabs into the slots by rolling the container base. Allow the glue to dry and secure.
5. Fold the score lines in the base edge piece.
6. Flip the base edge over (pretty side down). Apply glue to just under the tab at the top and above the slot at the bottom.
7. Tuck the tab into the slot by rolling the base edge piece. Secure and allow to dry.
8. Center the open circle piece over the base edge piece and wiggle it down to the bottom of the base edge piece by the tabs. ( It will be a snug fit:)
9. Apply glue to the outside of the tabs and secure down to the open circle that you just placed on the base edge piece.
10. Apply glue on the circular surface of the combined base edge piece. Secure the solid circle to the combined base edge piece.
11. This is what it should look like.
12. Apply glue to the tall part of the base edge piece.
13. Slip the container over the combined edge base piece until the base edge piece is completely inside of the container. Allow the glue to dry.
14. Roll the wick piece so that it is cylinder like. I used a marker to form it’s shape. 
15. Apply glue to the inside just under the slot and along the edge under the tab.
16. 17. Tuck the tab into the slot and allow to dry. ( I used the marker again to help form the cylinder shape)
18. Push the tabs of the wick up.
19. Feed the wick through the opening in the combined container. I went from the inside through to the top. Align the seam of the wick with the seam of the container.-Toward the back.
20. Apply glue to the tabs and secure to the inside of the lid.
21. Apply glue to the backside of the larger ( but has a smaller center hole) circle. Secure to the inside of the lid lining up the flat sides of the outside of the circle.
22. This is what it should look like.
23. Apply glue to the backside of one of the stars. Secure to the other star. ——Optional: Apply glue to the smaller circle ( with a larger center hole) and secure to the top of the lid- lining up the straight edge of the outside of the circles.
24. Feed the star through the wick and fill with straws. Finish with ribbon or twine.

Ballerina Tutu Card

  1. Cut design pieces. ( I used vellum paper for the inside of the tutu)
  2. Fold the card base. Glue the single leg to the Ballerina silhouette. Glue the rectangular floor piece to the front of the card base.
  3. Glue the larger tutu piece to the combined ballerina silhouette. Glue the ballerina shoes to the combined ballerina silhouette.
  4. Fold the tutu at the score lines.
  5. Glue the ends of the folded tutu to the combined ballerina silhouette making sure that the tops of the tutu are aligned with the hips of the combined ballerina silhouette. (The bottom of the tutu will hang over the bottom tutu of the combined ballerina silhouette.)
  6. Additional pic of the glued folded tutu.
  7. Glue the smaller tutu piece to the combined ballerina silhouette on top of the folded tutu. 
  8. Glue the larger belt piece to the combined ballerina silhouette. Apply glue to the inside top of the folded tutu ( where my finger is pointing) on each side. 
  9. Press the top of the combined tutu so that it is flat where it meets the belt piece.
  10. Glue the small belt piece at the top of the larger belt piece. 
  11. Glue the combined ballerina silhouette to the front of the card.
  12. I used enamel dots to accentuate the space between the small belt and the top of the combined tutu:)

1.Cut design pieces.
2. Fold the card base. Glue the smaller martini glass to the larger one. Glue the Cheers word to it’s solid base. Glue the smaller triangular piece to the larger one aligning at the bottom.
3. Glue the combined triangular pieces to the combined martini glass- aligning at the top and center. Glue the small circle to the coordinating shape on the combined martini glass.
4. Glue the combined martini glass to the front of the card base. Glue the cheers word to the inside edge:)

1.Cut design pieces. (I used double sided card stock for the card base)
2. Fold the card along score lines. 
3. Apply glue the bottom of the side tabs on the card base. Secure by folding upward toward the card base.
4.Glue the largest dog head with circle eyes to the solid dog head base.
5. Glue the second largest dog head to the combined dog head.
6. Glue the third largest dog head to the combined dog head.
7. Glue the circle medallion to the coordinating shape on the collar of the combined dog head and glue the inner ears into place. Glue the tongue to the backside of the muzzle piece- careful that it does not show through the nose holes:)
8. Glue the combined muzzle piece to the combined dog head. Glue the nose into place.
9. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the combined dog head to the front of the card base. Insert gift card.
10. The hands tuck into the slots on the front. I popped the dog’s collar to the front of the gift card section.
11. Use a foam adhesive square to attach the heart in the center of the hands. Finish with ribbon and enamel dots to accentuate the eyes:)

Welsh Corgi Card

  1. Cut design pieces. ( I used double sided card stock for the card base:)
  2. Fold the card base. Glue the smallest dog silhouette to the second largest dog silhouette.
  3. Glue the collar and ear to the combined dog silhouette.
  4. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the combined dog to the largest dog silhouette.
  5. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the combined dog silhouette to the front of the card base.
  6. Use adhesive enamel dots for the nose and eye. I attached them to the largest dog silhouette layer under the two top layers. Finish with a jewel on the collar.

6. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the muzzle piece to the combined dog head.
7. Glue the backside of each ear at the top and at the bottom and attach to the combined dog head.
8. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the oval forehead piece to the combined dog head.
9. Use foam adhesive squares to attach the combined dog head to the card base.
10. Insert gift card.
11. I used enamel dots to accentuate the eyes.
12. The hands tuck into the slots on the front. Use a foam adhesive square to attach the heart in the center of the hands. Finish with ribbon:)

Trout Card

1.Cut design pieces.
2. Fold the card base. Glue the second largest fish (with cut outs) to the solid fish base.
3.Glue the third largest piece to the combined fish.
4. Glue the long piece with a mouth to the combined fish.
5. Glue the last belly piece to the combined fish.
6. Glue the jaw and fins into place.
7. Attach the combined fish to the front of the card base by using foam adhesive squares. Finish with a small enamel dot for the eye:)
