American Flag Open Top Box-JMRush
Approximate size: W 6.75” X D 2.75” X H 4.25”
This open top box file has a american flag design that wraps around the entire box. This box can be used as a gift box, a centerpiece, or as a napkin holder for your Fourth of July/ Memorial day parties ( fits napkins 6.5” in width). This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.
- Cut design pieces.
- Fold score lines on the box base. Apply glue to the backside of the side tab on the largest box base section and secure to the smaller box base section- ( make sure that the large section has a square at the top and the smaller section has a square at the bottom:)
- Apply glue to the right corner of the backside of the top center tab. Secure to the long rectangular tab to the right forming a 90 degree angle.
- Apply glue to the left corner of the backside of the bottom center tab. Secure to the long rectangular tab to the left forming a 90 degree angle.
- Apply glue to the outside of the 90 degree angle pieces and secure the square flap to the right.
- This is what it should look like:)
- Repeat for the other side so that your open top box shape is complete.
- This is what it should look like:)
- Apply glue to the front of the box. Apply the long rectangle stripes- alternating colors.
- Apply glue to the side panel. Apply the smaller rectangle stripes-alternating colors.
- Repeat for the other two sides. Glue the rectangular (blue) shape to the upper left corner ( on the front and on the back).
- I used foam adhesive squares to attach the stars together- layering from largest to the smallest on top. I staggered the stars in this photo.
- The stars are centered in this picture.
- Finish by adding a ribbon or twine:)
