Cardinal Gift Tag Ornament




Cardinal Gift Tag Ornament- JMRush 
Approximate size: W 5.25” X H 3”

This Cardinal Bird design doubles as a gift tag and ornament and is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.

  1. Cut design pieces. I used double sided card stock.
  2. Glue the largest bird silhouette(red) to the gift tag base. Glue the long red wing to the brown wing base. Glue the bird face to the bird (yellow) beak.
  3. Glue the combined face and the feet to the coordinating shapes on the combined bird gift tag.Glue the large (light red) body to the combined bird gift tag. Glue the smaller (light red) feathers to last dark red wing piece.
  4. Using foam adhesive squares, attach the combined little wing to the combined long wing.
  5. Using foam adhesive squares, attach the combined wing to the combined bird gift tag base. Loop a ribbon through the center hole for a hanger and tie the ends together. I used an enamel adhesive jewel to accentuate the eye.
  6. Flip the tag over and glue the white full bird silhouette to the back when using this design as a gift tag:)

With Sympathy Design Card

  1. Cut design pieces.
  2. Fold the card base. Glue the rectangular piece with cut outs to the rectangular piece with scalloped edges.
  3. Glue the combined rectangular pieces to the front of the card base. Glue the smaller words to the word bases. Using a piece of foam adhesive square, attach the largest flower to the solid base at the center point. Repeat for the second largest grouping of flower shapes. Glue the smallest two flowers at the center.
  4. Glue the combined words to the front of the card base. Glue the largest two combined flower grouping together at the center point. Glue this section to the front of the card. 
  5. Glue the smallest flower section to the top of the combined flower section on the card base. I used a enamel dot for the center of the flower.
  6. I used small enamel dots to accentuate the center of each of the cut out flowers:)

Thinking of you Card

1.Cut design pieces. (I used double sided card stock)
2. Fold the card base at the score lines. 
3. Glue the open rectangular shaped mat piece to the front of the card. 
4.-5. Glue the two smaller petal sections of three together and the larger petal section of three together alternating the petals- with largest petals on bottom and smaller on top.
6. Curve the flower petals as you like.
7. I used a foam adhesive squares to attach the largest flower set to the left hand corner and the two smaller flower sets to each side of the larger flower. 
8. Glue the leaf designs behind each flower.
9. Glue the script to the front of the card:)

Flower Card

Card size: 5.5” x 4.25”

This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.




1.Cut design pieces.
2. Pre-Fold all score lines.
3.Starting with the Large flower bundle, apply glue to the folded edge of the smaller heart shape petal. ( I used hot glue which was messy but, I didn’t have patience for each petal to dry with regular glue;)
4. Secure to the folded center of the the larger heart shape petal.
5. Repeat for all Heart shaped petals.
6. Apply glue to the Large flat flower shape. (I ran hot glue from the dip of the heart to the center of the flower.)
7.Secure the heart petals to the flat flower shape. Repeat for all four petal combos.
8.Repeat for the two smaller flowers.
9. Fold the leaves in half lengthwise and curve them as you like.
10. Apply adhesive gems to the center of each flower.
11. Glue the leaves onto the back of the flowers.
12. Glue the flowers onto the card. Ta Da:)!
