1.Cut design pieces. ( I used double sided card stock)

2. Fold all score lines. Glue an open centered circle to the coordinating shape on the spider base- on the front side and glue the other to the back.

3. Apply glue to one side of the folded spider pieces. Attach one side of another spider body; aligning at the edges.

4. Repeat. You will have combined three spider body pieces together.

5. This is what it should look like. Glue the combined body piece to the spider base at the coordinating shape; aligning the edges.

6. This is what it should look like.

7. Combine the other three spider pieces as you did above. Glue to the backside of the spider base; aligning at the edges.

8. This is what it should look like:)

9. Lace a string through the top hole.

10. Tie the string and curve the spider legs as you like.

11. Cut the excess string and finish by placing adhesive jewels for eyes:)

           This tutorial is used for multiple designs. Your file may contain different design pieces.

1.Cut design pieces. ( I used double sided card stock and vellum paper)

2. Flip the Lantern base over. Fold all score lines. 

3. Line up the two lantern window pieces. Apply glue to the long side tab of the lantern (on the backside) and secure to the other lantern window base piece (on top).

4. Additional image of lantern base pieces glued together.

5. Glue the vellum paper to the window panels; centering around each of the cut out sections.

6. Apply glue to the other long side tab of the lantern window base and secure to the inside of the other lantern window base piece; creating a box.

7. Apply glue to one top tab and secure the top tab to the inside of the next angled triangle.

8. Repeat for the rest of the top tabs until fully enclosed. Apply glue to the inside of one of the circular hanger pieces. Align with the other circular hanger piece and secure.

 9. Apply glue to the top two tabs of the Lantern square base and secure to the inside of the sides. 

10. Repeat for the two bottom tabs creating a shallow box.

11. Apply a dab of glue to the inside of the lantern tea light base just under the slot. (This will help to secure the tab when it passes through.)

12.  Tuck the end tab into the slot creating a circular tube shape.

13. Secure until dry.

14. Place the square piece over the tube shape you just created.

15. Apply glue to the outside of the tabs on the square side and secure downward to the square piece.

16. Place the narrow circular ring piece over the tube shape you just created. Flip this piece over so the circular side is up. Apply glue to the outside of the tabs on the circular side and secure downward to the circular piece. Apply glue to the tops of the ring and tabs and secure the thicker circular ring to the top.

17. Place a flameless tea light candle inside the lantern square base; centering it. Apply glue to the bottom of the square side of the combined 

lantern tea light base. Place inside the lantern square base and secure.

18. Using pieces of foam adhesive squares, attach the skulls to the coordinating shapes on the outside of the lantern base; centering them. (If using the spider lantern design: Curve the spider legs and I used a black marker to color the foam adhesive squares to hide them. I also attached an adhesive jewel on the spider's backside for a bit of sparkle:)

19.  Apply glue to the bottom outside edges of this piece and place inside the tea light base box. Secure until dry. I finished this lantern with a ribbon:)

Rib Cage Gift Card Holder

The Rib Cage Card features a front cover of ribs that open at the center. This file contains a hidden gift card section on the inside and two spiders. This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.

1.Cut design pieces. (I used double sided card stock) (There are two spiders in this file. The tutorial only shows one)

2. Fold the card base along the score lines. Apply glue to the backsides of the two bottom tabs and secure to the upper panel.

3. Center and glue the inside panel.

4. Fold the side panels to the center and glue the coordinating ribs to each side. Curve the spiders legs as preferred and attach with a piece of foam adhesive square. I used an adhesive jewel on each spider body to accentuate the shape.

5. Insert gift card.

3D Spider Web Photo Frame 4X6

3D Spider Web Photo Frame 4X6 - JMRush

This easy to construct, two piece frame can be used vertically or horizontally and features a fold out stand, a decorative webbed mat, and a spider. This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.

1. Cut out design piece. (I used double sided card stock)

2. Insert the tabs of the frame base into the frame base slots (as shown in the image)

3.  Align and center the pieces. On the backside. Apply glue to the inside of the tabs and secure into place making sure that the corners are 90 degree angles.

4. Apply glue to the top backside and lower left of the solid rectangle shape that was the inside of your webbed mat piece. ( The image shows glue to the frame base to demonstrate the area where glue should not be present) Center and glue to the inside rectangle of the frame base making sure that the score lines for the frame stand remain moveable.

5. Pre-fold all scored lines on the edges of the frame folding them inward toward the center. Fold all score lines on the tabs inward.

6.  Starting on the side of the frame base, apply hot glue to the very inside score line on that side of the frame base.

7.  Place the edge down so the it is in alignment with the bottom score line. This will form a box.

8.-9. Depending on how quickly you work, you can roll the box inward toward the center of the frame. This action will apply the glue edge to the base of the frame. Hold until the glue is secure. ( image 8 shows applying more hot glue before you roll the box inward if your glue has dried)

10. Repeat this steps for each of the frame sides. (You will need to be careful a little more careful on the left side when applying glue to the score line so that the stand leg of the frame will have mobility later.)

11.-13. Fold in the score lines on each side of each tab. Apply a dab of hot glue. Fold the tab into the tab hole and hold until the glue is secure.

14. Repeat for each tab.

15 .Insert your photo by sliding it into place. The sides of the frame will lift up a bit to ease the photo insertion. On the backside, you can raise the stand flaps so that your frame sits vertically…..

16. Or you can raise the stand flap so that your frame sits horizontally.

17. -18. Using a ruler, line the edge of the ruler along the score line and fold upward on each side of the webbed mat.

19. Pinch the corners and fold at the angled score line on the web window. The last three steps are to create a 3D frame-like web window.

20. Apply glue to the backside of the web window just along the very inside edges.

21. Center and secure to the matching inside rectangle shape of the frame body.

22. Shape/Curve your spider. I used large enamel dot to accentuate the hind end. 

23. I used a black marker to color the sides of the white foam adhesive square that I used to secure the spider to the combined frame so that the edges didn’t show.

 1. Cut the design pieces. (I used double sided card stock)

 2. Flip the pouch over ( pretty side down). Pre-Fold all score lines. Apply glue to the tabs of the pouch base on each side. Secure the tabs to the upper flap of the pouch. 

 3. Shape/Curve your spider. I used large enamel dots to accentuate his hind end.

 4. Using a foam adhesive square, attach the spider to  the front of the pouch. Insert the rectangular backdrop card. TA DA! Your Spider Pouch is ready to be filled with goodies or used as a cutlery holder for your Halloween parties.

Spider Web Lantern (Flameless)

Lantern size: W 3 x D 3 x H 7”

This Flameless Lantern features cut out spider and web designs on each of the four sides. A layered frosted effect is created when vellum paper is used. This design is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.

1. Cut design pieces. ( I used double sided card stock)

2. Flip the two lantern pieces over ( pretty side down) Fold the score lines of the lantern body. 

3. Center the two lantern body pieces. Apply glue to the backside of the right side tab on the left lantern body piece. Attach to the other lantern piece making sure that the bottoms align (joining the two body pieces).

Glue the rectangular vellum pieces to the open areas of the lantern body- centering each rectangle with the open window area of the lantern body.

4.-5. Glue the circular hangers together. ( Make sure the stems of this piece remain separate)

6. Glue one of the stems to the inside of the top of the third from the left window panel. (The other stem will be glued inside the lantern later)

7. Apply glue to the side long tab on the very right side. Secure the long side tab to the other side creating a box.

8. Apply glue to the top tab with the circular hanger and secure it to the triangular panel to it’s left side.

9. Repeat for the next tab.

10. Apply glue to the other side of the circular hanger piece and secure to the opposite side inside the lantern.

11. Hard to see pic of the inside…sorry.

12. Continue applying glue to the top tabs until the top is complete.

13. Using a ruler, fold the small score lines on the web windows.

14. Pinch the corners and fold at the angled score line on the web window. The last two steps are to create a 3D frame-like web window.

15. Apply glue to the backside of the web window just along the very inside edges.

16. Secure to the matching rectangle shape on the lantern body.

17. Shape/Curve your spiders. I used large enamel dots to accentuate their hind ends.

18. Apply glue to the very tips of the spider’s legs on the lantern body. Use a foam adhesive square to secure each spider to the spider on the lantern base. Secure the tips of the spider’s legs to the small dabs of glue that you applied to the spider on the lantern body.

19. Image of glue dabs on the tips of the lantern body spider’s legs. Repeat for all sides.

20. Fold the score lines on the lantern square base. Apply glue to the top two tabs of the Lantern square base and secure to the inside of the sides.

21. Repeat for the bottom two tabs creating a shallow box.

22. Place a flameless candle inside and the lantern top in it’s base. I finished with a ribbon on top:)
