Cardinal Gift Tag Ornament

Cardinal Gift Tag Ornament- JMRush

This Cardinal Bird design doubles as a gift tag and ornament and is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.

1. Cut design pieces. I used double sided card stock.
2. Glue the largest bird silhouette(red) to the gift tag base. Glue the long red wing to the brown wing base. Glue the bird face to the bird (yellow) beak.
3. Glue the combined face and the feet to the coordinating shapes on the combined bird gift tag.Glue the large (light red) body to the combined bird gift tag. Glue the smaller (light red) feathers to last dark red wing piece.
4. Using foam adhesive squares, attach the combined little wing to the combined long wing.
5. Using foam adhesive squares, attach the combined wing to the combined bird gift tag base. Loop a ribbon through the center hole for a hanger and tie the ends together. I used an enamel adhesive jewel to accentuate the eye.
6. Flip the tag over and glue the white full bird silhouette to the back when using this design as a gift tag:)

Mr. Cardinal Glasses Basket

Mr. Cardinal Glasses Basket- JMRush

This cute bird basket design is a perfect container for party treats, can used with or without glasses, and is compatible with both 8X12 and 12X12 mats.

1. Cut design pieces. ( I used double sided card stock)

2. Fold the box base at the score lines. Glue the grey bird face with eye holes it’s solid coordinating shape bird face.

3. Apply glue to the top two tabs on the box base and secure to the bird shape above.

4. Apply glue to the bottom two tabs on the box base and secure to the round shape below forming a complete box.

5. Glue the small black bird face with eye holes to the combined bird face shape aligning at the top.

6. Turn the box around so that the bird silhouette is facing you. Glue the small tail section to the larger one aligning at the center top.

7. Glue the combined bird face to the front of the box base. Glue the oval red breast shape to the front of the box base.

8. Use pieces of foam adhesive square to attach the triangular beak and two feet.

9. Flip the box over. Apply glue to the circular section and secure the wings; center and align at the bottom.

10. Use a foam adhesive square to attach the combined tail section.

11.-12. Insert the handle into the side slots on the box.  Repeat for the other side. Add enamel jewels to accentuate the eyes

13.-14. Use a piece of foam adhesive to attach the center of the bowtie to the bowtie base. Glue into place.

15. Finish with a ribbon and glue the glasses into place:)

Stacked Cardinal Bird Card

1. Cut design pieces.

2. Fold the card base. Glue the two claws to the smaller (red) bird silhouette. Glue the bird face (with eye cut out) to the solid bird face with a beak. Glue the pinecone with cut outs to their solid coordinating shape bases.

3. Glue the smaller wing piece (red) to the larger ling wing piece (black). Glue the combined bird silhouette to the larger bird silhouette (black). glue the small (oval with scalloped edge) to the small wing shape.

4. Glue the bird face to the combined bird silhouette. Use a foam adhesive square to attach the small combined wing to the long combined wing.

5. Glue the combined wing to the combined bird silhouette.

6. Curve the pinecones and leaves as you like.

7. Align the tree branch so that it’s edges line up with the edges of the card. Center the leaf shapes (green) underneath the branch as shown. Carefully glue the branch to the leaves without losing their position and not glueing it to the card yet.

8. Place the combined bird silhouette so that it’s claws wrap around the tree branch and apply glue to the backside of the bird body, branch, and center part of the leaves. Use a foam adhesive square on the backside of the bird’s head.

9. Attach the combined bird and combined leaf/branch to the front of the card; making sure that the edges of the branch align with the edges of the card. I used a piece of foam adhesive square to attach the full combined pinecone and glue to attach the half pinecone:)
